After first day at work, am really thinking of getting a car....... it's damn cold standing along the streets waiting for bus........ but I din bargain this in my expenses so I will need to lessen my budget for an apartment if I get a car....... It's possible to buy a 2nd hand car under $10k but parking in the city cost about $60/week n I v lazy to drive, find carpark lot, park car n navigate in the city...... sigh.....
Tmw meeting a colleague to go to site for 2 days, colleague suggest I take early buses to meet him first but I think I beta take a cab...... almost got fever juz tdy with all those chilly winds (n it's not winter yet!), beta not take chances......

morning,
can't escape car trouble in big cities alike.
apartment near office would be costly.
another delicate balancing act to manage!!!!!
what a way to start off your works.
straight into 'hot soup' for 2 grueling days!
as the saying goes,"'I've' never promised you a rose garden!"
hello Shi Foo!!
heh, I oso din promise them I'm a little nice working bee!!
hi. you wrote "its not winter yet" - i thought NZ is way down under, and hence has the seasons reversed? i.e. its late spring now instead?
am sympathizing with your adjustment pains to the weather. I've been away for 7 years and have never loved late autummn (now) and late spring. Tend to get caught by the chilly winds and damp air, resulting in impossible coughs, etc.
wrap up warmly, with something to keep off the wind, and something to keep the warmth in. not sure if the made-in-sg things help as much as those you can get there. lastly - never forget to drink water even if its colder. you wouldn't feel thirsty so often which is a problem if you just reply on thirst as a "gosh, i need to drink" indicator.
