typical motels at Taupo.... dun expect security, a guest lost 2 motorbikes over the nite.how wish u can c the wind in tis photo, it's bloodly strong! dun bother abt combing hair liao!
Lake Taupo, the wind was so strong, it looks like sea with currents.
gamers trying their luck on hitting the ball towards Lake Taupo onto a small floating platform..... think buying lotto got bigger chances..

Huka Falls, as i can remember, the top platform level was much higher 7 years ago....

contrasting conditions in nz:
- snow in mt.Mt Ruapehu - Whakapapa Ski Field
- fair windy weather at lake taupo vicinity
make nz a must visit place!!!
Taupo is abt 1.5hr drive from Whakapapa, snow mostly happen on the mountain top, not so much n not so often on Taupo and foot of mountain.
For more snowy place, try Queenstown & Coronet Peak ski area (South Island)! nicer sceneries too....
